is really one! The party was great on Saturday. This week is flying by, and it's another one of those weeks where there's too much to do and too little time. So, I'm going to post a FEW BUNCH (and if you think this is too many, you should see all the ones i restrained myself from posting) of my favorite pics from the party and get outta here :)
First - my wonderful mother-in-law made the most awesome cake EVER. I told her I wanted the "theme" of the party to be "things that go zoom" (planes, trains, cars and trucks) and look what she whipped up. And not only did it look amazing, it tasted SOOO good. (just ate my last piece last night :) )

and yes, my love affair with cupcakes continues with the two ginormous "cupcake cakes." Aren't they fun?!?
ok, enough of the cake - onto the birthday boy. one of his big gifts was the megaland pop-up playset and a tent and tunnel
he loves them, and stayed in them for a lot of the party.

playing with aunt han
he got lots of fun presents - lots of cool cars, trucks, tractors and buses and clothes (what mommy loves)
oh yeah, and dollie came down to celebrate with jacklad
we sang happy birthday and blew out the candle (and kate cried like she always does when everyone starts singing happy birthday)
jack consumed an entire piece of cake (with a little left on his face...and hands...and arms...and shirt)
and not to worry - kate was getting plenty of attention (at least now that she changed into her princess dress mid-way into the party)
we paid a buck a piece for these helium balloons - they had to be put to good use.

yes - they really got put to good use.
and while we were doing crazy photo-ops with the birthday boy, they other boys were being...boys.

but most importantly, i know jack had a good time, and i know he is so loved by his family and friends. thanks everyone for making it a great day!! love.
